The Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled forward Michael Pezzetta from the AHL’s Toronto Marlies.
Pezzetta, signed in the summer of 2025, recently made his Leafs debut against the Ducks, making an immediate impact with a fight off the opening faceoff.
Prior to his recall, Pezzetta played 38 games with the Marlies, scoring 4 goals and 6 assists.
Known for his energy and physical play, Pezzetta’s recall comes as the Leafs look to evaluate players with the team all but eliminated from playoff contention.
Head coach Craig Berube highlighted Pezzetta’s energy and skating ability as valuable assets.
Pezzetta’s opportunity arises after trades of key players, potentially allowing him to audition for a role next season.
