AFC Toronto has signed Jade Kovacevic, League1 Ontario’s all-time leading goal scorer, as their first-ever player.
Kovacevic brings extensive experience from domestic and international play, including representing Canada in the U17 and U20 World Cups.
She holds the all-time League1 Ontario goal-scoring record (men and women) with over 170 goals and is the first player to sign with the Northern Super League.
Kovacevic has played professionally in Italy and Hungary, earning accolades and top scorer titles.
She expressed excitement about the opportunity to play professionally in Canada and contribute to the growth of women’s soccer in the GTA.
The signing signals a strong start for AFC Toronto as they prepare for their debut season in the Northern Super League.
