AFC Toronto has signed Jade Kovacevic, a prolific striker, as their first-ever player signing.
Kovacevic holds the all-time goal-scoring record in League1 Ontario (men and women) with over 170 goals.
She has represented Canada in the U17 and U20 World Cups and played professionally in Italy and Hungary.
Kovacevic expressed excitement about the opportunity to play professionally in Canada and contribute to the growth of women’s soccer in the GTA.
The signing marks a significant step for AFC Toronto as they prepare for their debut season in the Northern Super League.
