The Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled forward Bo Groulx from the AHL’s Toronto Marlies on an emergency basis.
Groulx had a successful nine-game stint with the Leafs, scoring three goals and five points.
He is the Marlies’ leading scorer this season with 27 goals and 50 points in 55 games.
The reason for the emergency recall is currently unknown, with updates expected from Coach Berube.
The Maple Leafs are embarking on their annual California road trip, starting with a game against Groulx’s former team, the Anaheim Ducks.
